Macmillan Academy Post 16 was delighted to welcome back alumni from the 2023–2025 cohort for a festive afternoon, celebrating their achievements and hearing about life beyond Post 16.
It was great to see former students now at university, in apprenticeships, or in employment, and to hear their inspiring journeys. Thank you to all alumni who returned, we are proud to follow your continued success.

Students and staff at Macmillan Academy Post 16 got into the festive spirit with a Christmas Jumper Day, raising money for The Salvation Army and its vital work in our local community.

Year 12 RS students engaged in a rigorous Euthanasia Debate recently at Sunderland University. A valuable opportunity to explore ethical frameworks, develop critical reasoning, and experience academic discussion in a higher-education setting.

Year 12 and 13 students took part in a Sports Experience Day at Teesside University, engaging with specialist facilities and gaining insight into sport-related degree pathways. A valuable opportunity to connect practical skills with future academic ambitions.

Year 12 physics students enjoyed a festive Speakers into Schools lecture with Dr Atma Prakash from Teesside University. The session explored real-world physics and university pathways, giving students valuable insight into studying science beyond school.
