Our Year 12 Advance group took part in a site tour of DR Caswell, exploring the warehouse, storage facilities, and the embroidery and printing sections. They met with staff and discussed their roles, gaining valuable insights to help guide our students` future pathways as they continue our studies in Year 12.

Our Year 12 Advance group has been taking part in the Prince’s Trust Well-Being programme, focusing on the Healthy Eating unit. Students have been developing practical skills, learning about nutrition, and exploring how to make healthier choices each day.

The Post 16 Women’s 5-a-side team put on a brilliant performance today, beating East Durham College 5–1!
Goals came from Meadow (2), Merrin (2), and Lilly. Fantastic teamwork and energy from everyone, well done, girls!

Our Post 16 students showcased their creativity and spooky spirit in this year’s Halloween Pumpkin Carving Competition! From classic jack-o’-lanterns to imaginative designs, every entry showed fantastic effort and artistic flair.
Well done to everyone who took part, your pumpkins were truly spooktacular!

Year 13 Biology students enjoyed a fantastic day at Teesside University, taking part in DNA extraction and analysis, anatomy studies, forensic crime scene work, and bacterial identification. A fantastic hands-on experience, well done to everyone involved.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us for out Post 16 open event. We`re excited to see your applications. With a wide range of courses, enrichment, sports, DofE, and more, Macmillan Post 16 has so much to offer.

Our Year 10–12 Art and Textiles students visited the Yorkshire Sculpture Park to explore work by world-renowned artists including Henry Moore, Barbara Hepworth and Damien Hirst. Highlights included James Turrell’s immersive Deer Shelter, William Kentridge’s Pull of Gravity exhibition, and Fashion Play by Lesley Barnes and Ross McAuley. Students sketched, discussed and reflected on the artwork before enjoying a sunny picnic overlooking Bretton Hall. We can’t wait to see how this inspiring trip influences their future work.
